International Portfolio Competition
Soho Photo Gallery in New York City is pleased to announce its annual International Portfolio Competition. Three selected portfolios will be awarded solo exhibits in the Spring of 2018*.
ABOUT THE COMPETITION
Located in lower Manhattan, Soho Photo, New York City’s longest-running photography gallery is awarding solo shows to three winning photographers. The panel of jurors will make their initial selections based on digital submissions. Final selections will be based on prints.
Digital entries must be uploaded using the Enter the Competition link below where you will find instructions for submitting. The competition is open to all photographers age 18 or older, excluding members of Soho Photo Gallery. Any photographic print medium is acceptable. One portfolio per photographer, please. Ten semi-finalists will be selected based on their digital files. They will be asked to submit three prints from their portfolios. Jurors will select three winning portfolios to be exhibited.
WHAT IS A PORTFOLIO?
A portfolio contains 12-20 compositionally and technically strong images, with a consistent theme or topic.
Members of Soho Photo Gallery’s Portfolio Review Committee will jury the competition. The committee has reviewed thousands of portfolios since the gallery’s beginning in 1971. In so doing, the gallery has exhibited prints by some of the finest contemporary photographers throughout the world.

Pina Zangaro, designers and manufacturers of fine presentation books is providing customized portfolio boxes to each winning photographer.
FEES, COMMISSION AND INSURANCE

Soho Photo Gallery shall receive a 30% commission for any sales. While reasonable efforts will be made to protect your work while it is in our possession, we are not legally responsible for it. Consider obtaining your own insurance coverage.
