Soho Photo Celebrates Its 40th Anniversary

Special Exhibitions By Seven Founding Members

Also work by 30 Gallery members highlighting:
The 1980s | The 1990s | The 2000s

Soho Photo Gallery has come a long way since it was established in 1971 by a dedicated group of New York Times photographers. They believed there was a real need for a cooperative where serious photographers could exhibit their work, exchange ideas and grow as artists. Forty years later, Soho Photo is thriving. It has more than 110 members and presents new exhibitions eleven times a year, including four juried competitions that draw entries from across the U.S. and overseas.

This April, Soho Photo is presenting a month-long exhibition in recognition of its founding members’ vision and the current membership’s dedication. The 40th anniversary celebration includes founding members’ photographs from the 1970s and the work of 30 members from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.
