The eminent architectural photographer, Norman McGrath, graduated from Trinity College in Dublin, with a degree in engineering. After moving to New York in 1956, he began to find engineering work lacking in creativity. While continuing to work part-time as an engineer, he gradually transitioned over five years to professional photography specializing in the exteriors and interiors of buildings.

Over more than a half century he has illustrated and written many books including, Photographing Buildings Inside and Out and Manhattan Skyscrapers. He is currently completing a book about extremely tall buildings. In this lecture, he will speak about the special challenges involved in photographing buildings and interiors.
