This really should be titled, American Ruins; or, How I Trespassed Across the Country Without Getting Arrested. Armed with a lot of foolish courage, heavy film cameras, and no plan except to run, I have spent an inordinate amount of time possibly breaking all sorts of laws in order to capture images of decaying America for years. From Texas to New York and points in between, there are monuments to the American dream lying dormant, sometimes right before our eyes. Some of these no longer exist, finally succumbing to the wrecking ball, and others just being overlooked by us today as they are slowly reclaimed by nature. I hope to capture the symmetry and beauty before these landmarks are gone for good.
