Moments jam up against each other.
Staring from a train hurtling through the city, the world flashes by.
A mangled jumble of screen impressions seen and not seen,
Racing forward in a distraction of jammed up thoughts thrown out by
Cloud-computed algorithms.

The avatar of this “psychosis” is the cloud computer in your pocket, which is what creates these images.  They codify in abstraction a modern life moving so fast as to be dislocated – a time where momentary fleeting impressions never have the space to resolve into developed ideas before the next impression presses in.

The Clipping series is an outgrowth from the TrainPan panoramics project I have been working on in various cities since 2015.
