About the Competition
Soho Photo Gallery, located in lower Manhattan is New York City’s longest-running cooperative photography gallery. The gallery is awarding solo shows to four winning photographers. A panel of jurors will make their initial selections based on digital submissions. Final selections will be based on prints.

The Jurors
Members of Soho Photo Gallery’s Portfolio Review Committee will jury the competition. The committee has reviewed thousands of portfolios since the gallery’s establishment in 1971 and has exhibited prints by some of the finest contemporary photographers throughout the world. 

Eligibility
The competition is open to all photographers age 18 years old and older, excluding members of Soho Photo Gallery. 

The Sponsor
Pina Zangaro, designers and manufacturers of fine presentation books, is providing customized portfolio boxes to each winning photographer. 

Submission
One portfolio consists of 12-15 compositionally and technically strong images, with a consistent theme or topic.

Fees, Commission & Insurance 
Entry fee: US$65.00

Soho Photo Gallery shall receive a 30% commission for any sales. While reasonable efforts will be made to protect your work while it is in our possession, we are not legally responsible for it. Consider obtaining your own insurance coverage. Work remaining in the gallery beyond 30 days after the closing of the show shall become the property of the gallery.

Winning Photographs
Photographs must be suitably prepared for gallery presentation or will not be accepted. Maximum height or width (including frame) of exhibited work cannot exceed 48”. Packing and delivery instructions will be emailed to participants. Work must be wired for hanging.

Important Dates
Deadline for submission: February 5, 2021
Semi-finalists notified: February 15, 2021
Finalists notified: March 12, 2021
