I’ve been taking a walk nearly every day since Covid-19 changed life as we know it back in March. More than a chance to stretch my legs, the walks have offered me some unique photo opportunities.  One of my goals was to document the new realities of wearing masks and social distancing. But wearing a mask also made it easier for me to ask people if I could photograph them with less fear of rejection. After all, why would you say “no” if your face is hidden.  Even so, some people did. But for the most part, the photos  here show how a cross-section of New Yorkers are coping, with some clearly out of the norm.
