Bridge Visions
“Do not show me what is, show me what else it is.” Minor White
Visions of a Bridge embraces Minor White’s challenge seeking to take a new look at the much photographed Brooklyn Bridge. Using multiple exposures and intentional camera movement, I explore altered views of and from this famous bridge. While a simple “straight” photograph seems to imply a single way of seeing something, these abstractions help me express my vision of the world’s complexities and its many possibilities. Visions of a Bridge continues my desire to explore “the spaces in-between” – what is seen and not seen, what is seen and what is felt. It is my hope that these photos invite viewers to explore the world I see and make their own discoveries.
