The title for the exhibit is Solitary Figures. Each photograph shows an individual alone, in a setting with strong lines, circles, or other design elements. Being alone can imply loneliness or isolation, but need not. I don’t intend to create a feeling of sadness. Solitude also can be an occasion for quiet contemplation. The images are fairly stark, which I think fits the subject (and probably also my personality).
