The In Between

Work from my series 'The In Between' explores loss, death and the afterlife. I use the photogravure process to create images that float in a moment of limbo, stuck between the real and the imagined.

Each piece tells stories of the detaching of self from the physical and emotional connection to the earthly world, resulting in ethereal moments when said connection is questioned and temporarily lost. 

Through these works I use the body as a transcendent vessel and attempt to visually blur the line between reality and the subconscious. With doing so, I invite the viewer to reflect on one's relationship to the self and the timelessness of the human experience.
