Limits These photographs are from a long term, ongoing series I’ve titled Limits. In this series, I am exploring a theme that I’ve worked with frequently–the idea that logic is an imperfect tool for understanding the totality of the world we inhabit.
I employ a visual language inspired by historic scientific photographs to stage and document what I think of as experiments. I use cans, bottles, wooden blocks etc. as icons for logic caught in the act of attempting to contain or quantify other objects that are meant to represent all that falls outside of the structure of logic. The ineffable.
