Botanicals

For centuries, humans have turned to botanicals for healing. Roots, leaves, flowers, bark, and seeds have been gathered, studied, and transformed into remedies valued for their restorative properties. Hidden within these individual parts is the potential to nourish, strengthen, and transform.

This series explores botanicals through a different lens.

Each work is created from multiple photographs of flowers and plant forms that have been layered and combined into new visual compositions. Just as botanicals draw their power from the unique qualities of their individual elements, these images are built from countless fragments that come together to create something entirely new.

Like the botanicals that inspired them, these works are assembled from many parts, each contributing its own character and strength. Together, they suggest that transformation often begins with the simplest elements and that beauty can emerge when we learn to see familiar things in new ways.
