Humble Offerings

Inspired by the simple, non-dramatic beauty of the world around us, Humble Offerings is a collection of work photographed this past year (with two exceptions) during my walks near my homes on the North Shore of Long Island. The subjects each called out to me as I passed to photograph them, either through a soft whisper or a bold, loud shout – each longing to be seen.

The photographs have a purposeful presentation in terms of size, aspect ratio and shape in order to elicit different emotions and feelings from the viewer. They were printed digitally on Washi Kozo paper, giving each a soft-quality that conveys the emotions I experienced on my journey as I photographed this collection of humble scenes.
