Bus Ride
Moving through the changing light of the street, the NYC bus turns the daily commute into a floating theater of urban life, where private worlds briefly surface within the anonymity of the city.
These photographs are drawn from my book “Bus Ride”, a five-year project of candid street photography on New York City transit buses and bus stops. Through layers of glass , reflections and metal, the passing streets merge with the lives of the passengers. The city becomes both backdrop and participant.
