Types of User Data We Collect
We collect anonymous data that is automatically collected from all visitors to https://www.sohophoto.com/// (the Soho Photo website) and data that is personally identifiable to you that you voluntarily provide to us (described below under “Personal Data”).
Anonymous Data
We automatically collect certain information, including your internet service provider, the IP address assigned to your computer by your internet service provider at the time you access the Soho Photo site, the type of browser you are using, the referring link, and what operating system you are using, through our server and through cookies (described below in “Cookies”). These aggregate statistics will not contain Personal Data and will not be stored in connection with any of your personally identifiable information. We also track the number and frequency of hits on the Soho Photo site on an aggregate basis. Personal Data
We will keep Personal Data that you voluntarily provide, such as your name and postal address, phone number, and your email address when you participate in the following activities on the Soho Photo site:
- To join or renew your membership in Soho Photo (please note that we are not currently capable of accepting dues from joining members on the Site, but may add this capability in the future);
- To make a contribution to support Soho Photo;
- To register for a program, seminar, or workshop at Soho Photo;
- To sign up for our mailing list;
- To purchase photography from Soho Photo (please note that we are not currently capable of selling prints from the Site, but may add this capability in the future); or
- To participate in any other activity that requires that Soho Photo access your Personal Data.
If you make a purchase or donation on the Soho Photo site, you will be asked to provide your credit card information, including the card number and expiration date. Soho Photo will delete your credit card information from the Soho Photo site server as soon as your purchase is completed, but Soho Photo may keep your credit card information on file in a separate, secure database which is not connected to the Soho Photo site, and which is accessed only by authorized Soho Photo personnel. Soho Photo never shares your credit card information with third parties for marketing purposes, except as required by law.
Cookies
Soho Photo’s site uses cookies. These cookies are set automatically when you access the Soho Photo site and you may not realize they are in use. Cookies tell us who you are and what your preferences for our website based on what you’ve done and told us before. The “cookie” is placed in your computer and is read when you come back to our website. Cookies let us take you to the information and features you’re particularly interested in. They also let us track your usage of website, so we know which parts of our sites are most popular.
How We Use the Data We Collect

We use data to identify which sections of the Soho Photo site are most visited and for how long, so that we can evaluate the popularity of our different web pages and continue to improve the Soho Photo site. We do not provide, sell or rent your email address to anyone outside of Soho Photo.
Opt-In
When you provide us with your Personal Data on the Soho Photo site, you can let us know that you do not wish to receive our online newsletter or any other email from Soho Photo by checking the appropriate “Opt-In” box or button on the page where you submit your Personal Data or by contacting us at privacy@sohophoto.com. You may also use the Opt-In tools on our Personal Data collection pages to inform us that you do not wish to allow your Personal Data to be combined with third party databases, or shared with third parties for direct marketing or fundraising purposes.
Children
We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13.

Soho Photo makes reasonable efforts to ensure the security of the transactions that occur on its website. The Personal Data we collect about you is stored on a secure, password protected server. We use industry-standard encryption technologies, including Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology, with respect to any commerce transactions you initiate, and the receipt and transfer of Personal Data you submit to us on the Soho Photo site. Only authorized personnel have access to your information. Nevertheless, despite our best efforts, no transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 percent secure.
