Programs

SOHO PHOTO GALLERY offers workshops, lectures and other programming open to the public, free or for a reasonable fee.

The Speaker Series brings to Soho Photo Gallery some of the most stimulating photographers and thinkers on photography today. The series has hosted photo editors, historians, critics, anthropologists, and, of course, creative photographers, all setting out to redefine in various ways what photography can mean.

Topics have covered the evolution of photography from daguerreotype to digital, alternative processes, street photography, fine-art, social justice and much more. Presentations typically run for 30-40 minutes, followed by a lively Q&A. Previous speakers have included Duane Michaels, Harvey Stein, Klea McKenna and Dan Miller.

Workshops have included hands-on training on the Diana-F camera and alternative photography techniques.

Upcoming programs are posted on our home page. Join our email list to hear about upcoming events.
