Speaker Series

The Speaker Series brings to Soho Photo Gallery some of the most stimulating photographers and thinkers on photography today. The series has hosted photo editors, historians, critics, anthropologists, and, of course, creative photographers, all setting out to redefine in various ways what photography can mean. Topics have covered the evolution of photography from daguerreotype to digital; alternative processes, street photography, fine-art, social justice and much more.
The Speaker Series at Soho Photo Gallery is open to the public and FREE. Presentations typically run for 30-40 minutes, followed by a lively Q&A.
Speakers have included Bill Armstrong, Elisabeth Biondi, Elinor Carucci, Allen Ellenzweig, Aaron Glass, Martin Heiferman, Robert Herman, Chester Higgins, John Isaac, Arthur Lubow, Jordan Matter, Lori Nix, Andreas Rentsch, Shelley Rice, Sasha Rudensky, Thomas Roma, Nadia Sablin, Elisabeth Smith, Ashly Stohl, Alexey Titarenko and Harvey Wang, among others.
